The PEVU 360/215х940-25 has a covered trough of 360 × 940 mm and a maximum throughput of 25 m³/h with a lump size up to 50 mm. The covered design is what separates it from the open version of the same size: the trough is enclosed, so the material raises less dust and is not thrown about. The ВЭМ-Л2 drive is bottom-mounted, supply 380 V, 50 Hz, coil voltage 0–250 V, current up to 6 A, mass 135 kg.

Where it is used

Feeding dusty material — cement, lime, dry building mixes — where an open trough would raise dust across the station and settle it on nearby equipment.
Working indoors where cleanliness is required and spillage or dust is unacceptable for the neighbouring machines and for working conditions on site.
Conveying material that has to be protected from the weather at an exposed transfer point.
Replacing an open feeder of the same size without reworking the frame: mounting dimensions are close and the mass is the same 135 kg. The unit can be swapped without reinforcing supports or rerouting services.

Questions and answers

What does the covered trough give you?

The trough is enclosed, so material is not thrown about and raises less dust. Throughput, the 50 mm lump size, the ВЭМ-Л2 drive and the 135 kg mass are the same as on the open ПЭВ 360/215х940-25.

Do the dimensions differ from the open model?

Only slightly: 1170×480×590 mm covered against 1170×500×530 mm open. Length is identical; the covered version is taller because of the enclosure.

What is the maximum lump size?

No more than 50 mm, the same as the open version. For coarser material in a covered design there is the PEVU 500/300х1600-30 with a 90 mm limit.
