The PEVF 950/390х3000-90 has the longest trough in the entire heavy-duty series: 3000 mm at 950 mm width. Throughput is up to 90 m³/h with a lump size up to 250 mm. That length is paid for in mass and drive: 2600 kg and a VEM-T4 taking coil current up to 16 A at 0–310 V, where shorter models of the range manage with a VEM-T1 or VEM-T2. Dimensions are within 3520×1290×1270 mm.

Where it is used

Carrying material three metres from the bin outlet — the case where no other model in the series is long enough. There is simply no longer trough in the series; this is the reach limit.
Replacing a section of conveyor with a feeder where an intermediate transfer is undesirable on layout or dust grounds. A transfer point is saved, and with it a source of dust and wear.
Feeding equipment set beyond the bin's supporting structure with lumps up to 250 mm, carried the full three metres without an additional transfer.
Processing stations with a long span where material must be discharged in an even layer across the full 950 mm trough width, which keeps the next machine running steadily.

Questions and answers

Why does this model use a VEM-T4 drive when its neighbours use VEM-T1 and VEM-T2?

A three-metre trough needs a stronger drive: the VEM-T4 with coil current up to 16 A at 0–310 V. Hence the 2600 kg mass against 1350–1700 kg for the shorter models of the 950 mm range.

Is this the largest feeder in the line-up?

By trough length, yes — 3000 mm. By width and flow it is not: the PEVF 1500/460х2500-300 is wider and delivers 300 m³/h on a 2500 mm trough.

How much space does it occupy?

Dimensions within 3520×1290×1270 mm at 2600 kg. The station length has to be checked at the layout stage.
