The ПЭВ 500/450х1600-50 is the highest-throughput feeder at 500 mm width: 50 m³/h on a 500 × 1600 mm trough with a lump size up to 90 mm. The flow is carried by a ВЭМ-Л4 drive with coil current up to 10 A — the highest figure among the light-duty models. Mass excluding vibration isolators and the control unit is 410 kg, with dimensions within 1885×720×970 mm, noticeably taller than its neighbours of the same width.

Where it is used

Feeding a line that needs both 50 m³/h and a metre-and-a-half of reach — a shorter trough will not deliver that reach.
Discharging crushed stone up to 90 mm from a large-capacity bin where feeding runs continuously through the whole shift.
Working in a station that has to hold a high feed rate while still being able to ramp down smoothly from the control cabinet when the material changes.
Replacing a pair of small feeders with a single unit: 50 m³/h in one stream is easier to control and service than two independent stations.

Questions and answers

Why does this model draw up to 10 A when other light-duty feeders draw less?

10 A is the highest coil current among the light-duty feeders, and it is what holds 50 m³/h on a 1600 mm trough. Coil voltage adjusts over the same 0–300 V range, supply 380 V, 50 Hz. Take it into account when selecting the control cabinet or unit.

How does it differ from the ПЭВ 500/350х1200-50 at the same 50 m³/h?

In trough length and mass: 1600 mm and 410 kg against 1200 mm and 275 kg. If reach is not needed, the shorter model is cheaper to install and easier on the frame.

What about height in the layout?

Overall height is within 970 mm — more than other 500 mm wide models. Under a low bin outlet this needs checking in advance.
