The ПЭВ 500/300х2000-30 is a light-duty feeder with an open trough of 500 × 2000 mm — the longest in its group. Maximum throughput is 30 m³/h with a lump size up to 90 mm. The two-metre trough is what you need when material has to be carried well clear of the bin outlet. The ВЭМ-Л4 drive is bottom-mounted, supply is 380 V, 50 Hz, coil current no more than 9 A, and mass is 400 kg.

Where it is used

Carrying material out from under a bin past a guard or a walkway when the discharge point cannot sit directly beneath the gate and there is no room for an intermediate conveyor.
Feeding a weigh conveyor that needs a long run-up section: over two metres of trough the material settles into an even layer and arrives without pulsing.
Supplying a process line in chemical or construction-materials production at a lump size up to 90 mm and a moderate 30 m³/h.
Bridging a transfer between floors with a two-metre horizontal run — one 400 kg unit instead of a short feeder plus a conveyor.

Questions and answers

Why a 2000 mm trough if throughput is only 30 m³/h?

Trough length solves reach, not flow. Two metres lets the feeder take material from under the bin and release it clear of the outlet with no intermediate conveyor. Throughput stays at 30 m³/h, the same as the 1600 and 1800 mm models of identical cross-section.

How much space does installation need?

Feeder dimensions do not exceed 2240×720×800 mm. Add room for vibration isolators and access to service the drive, which is mounted beneath the trough.

How does the ВЭМ-Л4 drive differ electrically from the ВЭМ-Л3?

On this model coil current is no more than 9 A against 7 A on ВЭМ-Л3 models; coil voltage is adjustable over the same 0–300 V range, supply 380 V, 50 Hz. Take this into account when selecting the control cabinet or unit.
