The PEVVF 1200/280х2500-150 is a heavy-duty feeder with a top-mounted, two-stroke electromagnetic VEM-T4 drive. The trough is 1200 × 2500 mm, maximum throughput 150 m³/h and lump size up to 320 mm. Coil current is no more than 16 A, coil voltage 0–310 V, supply 380 V, 50 Hz. Mass excluding vibration isolators and the control unit is 2600 kg, with dimensions within 4250×1530×1210 mm — the longest of the 150 m³/h models.

Where it is used

Discharging coarse rock in lumps up to 320 mm from under a receiving bin where the drive physically cannot go underneath because of the station layout and supporting steelwork.
Feeding a crusher at up to 150 m³/h where the space below the trough is occupied and a bottom drive could not be serviced.
Working at mining plants and quarries with material carried more than two and a half metres clear of the bin outlet.
Stations with heavy impact loading from tipper discharge, where a two-stroke drive holds the regime with the trough fully loaded. That duty is typical of receiving bins working with surge loads through the whole shift.

Questions and answers

How does a two-stroke drive differ from a single-stroke one?

This model uses a two-stroke VEM-T4 drive with coil current up to 16 A, whereas most of our feeders use single-stroke drives. Coil voltage adjusts over 0–310 V, supply 380 V, 50 Hz.

Why is the drive mounted on top?

It frees the space beneath the trough. Where that space is occupied by structures or cannot be reached for service, a bottom drive is not an option. The bottom-drive equivalent is the PEVF 1200/410х2000-150.

How much space does it occupy?

Dimensions within 4250×1530×1210 mm at a mass of 2600 kg. It is the longest model in the 150 m³/h range and the space for it has to be checked at the layout stage.
