The warranty on PEV feeders and VEM drives is 12 months from the date of shipment.

What the warranty covers

The 12-month term from the date of shipment applies to PEV feeders and VEM drives — equipment of our own manufacture. ШУВ and БУВ control devices are supplied together with the feeder, and their terms are recorded in the same shipping documents and data sheet.

The count runs from the shipment date, not from installation or commissioning: the shipment date is evidenced by the delivery note or UPD supplied with the equipment. Those documents are worth filing immediately — on a claim they are what establishes whether the term is still running.

Where the terms are recorded

The warranty terms and the claim procedure are recorded in the product data sheet supplied with each consignment. The data sheet is the primary warranty document: it carries the factory data for the specific unit.

Check the set on acceptance: the data sheet comes with every consignment, together with the delivery note or UPD and the invoice. Where a delivery contains several units, the data sheet relates to the consignment covered by those documents, so they are best kept together.

What helps avoid failures

Most enquiries come not from manufacturing defects but from operating conditions: wiring errors, an unsuitable control device, or installation that ignores the support structure requirements. Typical cases are covered in the articles on common operating mistakes, installation requirements and choosing ШУВ or БУВ.

Two things are worth checking before start-up. First, that the control device matches the drive: the coil voltage range and maximum current are in the feeder spec table, and a device sized for a light drive will not run a heavy one. Second, the support structure and isolators: the feeder mass excluding isolators and control unit is given in the card and belongs in the frame calculation, not in the post-installation review.

Operating conditions matter as much as the hardware: an electromagnetic drive has no rotating parts, so routine care comes down to tightening fasteners and inspecting the rubber isolators. Skipping that is what turns a sound unit into a claim, and it is the one part of the installation the operator controls entirely.
